teaching
Courses, mentorship, and guest lectures.
I currently teach on two taught-postgraduate MA programmes at the University of Hong Kong — AI, Ethics, and Society and Philosophy, Politics, and Economics — co-teaching three courses and leading two tutorial sections.
2025
Fundamentals of AI, Data, and Algorithms (PHIL7001)
How contemporary AI systems actually work — data, learning algorithms, and the assumptions built into them — for students arriving from philosophy and the social sciences.
Formal Methods for AI, Ethics, and Society (PHIL7010)
Logic, formal reasoning, and quantitative methods applied to questions about AI systems and their governance.
Foundations of PPE: Reasons and Methods
The methodological toolkit shared across philosophy, politics, and economics, and what each discipline means by a good reason.
